- Hang out for our weekly showbiz soiree, THE AFTER PARTY. Come and relax with a cocktail as some of New York's most talented performers grace the stage at this social schmoozefest. Or better yet, come up on stage & sing yourself. Iron lunged hosts Brandon Cutrell & Alysha Umphress keep things hopping, with piano man Ray Fellman at the keys. Becca Johnson is also on hand to serve drinks & food as well as belting out a few tunes. Located just blocks from the Great White Way, you never know who might drop by. NO COVER.

- Come meet Shana Farr in her debut cabaret show, Pure Imagination. Although she is not new to the stage, she is excited to enter the world of cabaret. Shana Farr is known for her classically trained, operetta voice and has been seen on several New York stages, including the New York City Center, where she was hailed in The New York Post as “a beautiful, young performer…who is vocally radiant.” In Pure Imagination she sets aside the classical music and brings her rich, expressive voice to songs from all different genres and songwriters. - Stu Hamstra Birthday Gala

- Celebrating the start of the 20th year of publication of Cabaret Hotline Online, which saw its first issue go out (in print) on July 6th, 1990 - published on the internet since 1997. The event also celebrates the 70th birthday of the founder, editor and publisher (and the only person who actually reads every issue all the way through - because he writes them) Stu Hamstra. The show will feature a number of performers who have become favorites of the newsletter's editor over the years. Already announced cast members include cabaret legend Tom Andersen, recent cabaret newcomer Terrell Baker, cabaret/Broadway favorite Raissa Katona Bennett, host of Grace Notes, Grace Cosgrove, the delightful Moira Danis, the all-girl vocal group The Delivery Girls, singer/dancer Ryan Greer and the inimitable singer/actor Jim Speake. - Meet Craig Stevens, he's fierce and collects show posters. Meet his "girlfriend," Janine, she recently lost 78lbs on the Subway diet. Recent graduates of Virginia's prestigious Tidewater Community College, these love birds have moved up to the city in hopes of making it on Broadway. Hailed as "the most clueless boy in New York" by Gawker.com, Craig has been sharing his New York adventures for the past year on Youtube with the "Craig Stevens Video Blog.” Now, Craig and Janine are coming to you live, teaching a performance based masterclass, featuring an original one-act musical, audience interaction, and performances from 3 TBD fancy Broadway performers. - Stacy Brass: What’s Goin’ On?

- Stacey Lynn Brass is thrilled to return to the Laurie Beechman after her successful sold out debut this past February. Brass and musical director Barry Levitt have developed a sound that is fresh and exciting, with songs ranging from standards to top 40. Making her Broadway debut at the age of 10 in Annie, Stacey has been performing in New York and around the world for 30 years. - One woman. Nine characters. The songs of Laura Nyro. Written by Louis Greenstein and Kate Ferber, this new cabaret piece explores the music and creative force of the late singer-songwriter whose pop masterpieces - including Eli's Comin', And When I Die, Save the Country and Stoney End - topped the charts in the '60s and '70s. Nyro's music was an explosive soundscape of turbulent times, drawing a loyal fan base and inspiring a new generation of singer-songwriters. Playing nine characters, each of whose lives were touched by Laura Nyro's music, Kate Ferber takes the audience on a journey of passion, whimsy, humor and timeless songs. Developed through a residency at New York City's CAP21 and with the cooperation of the Laura Nyro estate, One Child Born features ten classic Laura Nyro songs performed by Kate Ferber. $10 cover plus $15 Food and/or Beverage Minimum.
